How to tell a real deal in 2026
A memory shortage has pushed up prices of the fast memory AI machines depend on, so the usual Black Friday rules need adjusting:
- Judge the price, not the percentage. A “30% off” label is measured from the store’s own “was” price, which may never have been the real price. Compare with the latest price in our tables instead.
- Check the exact configuration. Memory size decides which models a machine can run, and it is often the difference between two listings with the same name. A 64 GB mini PC at a great price is not a deal if you need 128 GB.
- For graphics cards, launch prices are history. Most cards sold well above their launch prices in September 2026, and NVIDIA’s planned refresh with more memory was reported to be on hold over memory costs. A card near its launch price would be a genuine deal.
- Brand stores run their own sales. In September, GMKtec, Minisforum and Beelink were already selling their 128 GB mini PCs 7% to 20% below their own list prices. Check the maker’s store as well as the big retailers.

We record prices by hand at stores other than Amazon, with the date, and update them when we revise a guide. “Versus list” compares that price with the maker’s list price; for graphics cards the list price is the launch price, which is why most show large increases. When is Black Friday 2026?
Friday, November 27, 2026, the day after Thanksgiving. Cyber Monday is November 30. Many stores start their sales earlier in November.
Will AI PCs be cheaper on Black Friday 2026?
Some will, but don't count on big drops. The fast memory these machines use is in short supply in 2026, and most graphics cards sold well above their launch prices in September. Mini PC makers were already running sales against their own list prices, so compare any Black Friday price with the latest price in our tables, not with the store's 'was' price.
What is a good price for a 128 GB AI mini PC?
Anything below $3,499.99, the lowest price we recorded for a 128 GB Ryzen AI Max+ 395 mini PC (the GMKtec EVO-X2 with 1 TB, at GMKtec in September 2026). Check that the price is for the 128 GB model: the 64 GB version costs much less but can't hold 120B-class models.
Should I buy a graphics card on Black Friday?
Only if the price beats what cards have been selling for. In September 2026 the RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB sold for nearly double its launch price and AMD's RX 9060 XT 16 GB for about 58% more than its launch price. A card at or below the latest price in our table is worth considering; one near its launch price would be a genuine deal.
